Samsung & Reactrix Systems- Interactive LCD screens at Hilton Hotels

Interactive technology seems to be the keyword today in gaming, communication, cellphone industry etc. Now, it also seems to be making it’s mark on the advertising technology. Samsung and the interactive advertising agency Reactrix systems have join hands to promote what they see as the interactive revolution, using gesture based interface etc. People are already used to gesture based interfaces thanks to iPhone, Wii, Microsoft’s Surface etc. The two companies have partnered to introduce 57 inch interactive displays at Hilton hotel lobbies by the end of the year which can ‘see’ and monitor people’s behavior and attract their attention to the products displayed at the same time.

They might replace the conventional billboards and make the advertisement hoardings more interactive. However, for other companies to make use of these interactive screens and interfaces, the prices must come down and become more easily available.
