Element Skateboards - Ultra light and eco-friendly
Jaiyant Cavale | Jun 18 2008

Skateboarding has come a long way from being fined initially to being one of the most popular alternative sports. The boards, which require a special kind of wood, have been the targets of many environmentalists who have expressed their concern towards deforestation. Element Skateboards’ Push Constructive Positive Negative series use wood from trees that are harvested selectively and responsibly. Usually, skateboards need to be light and the usage of most types of wood result in heaviness. Element, which has used carbon fiber and it’s very own featherlight helium construction in which air is trapped inside the board, has launched these unbelievably light skateboards. The boards can take high impact and are very close to being ‘indestructible’ as some enthusiasts put it. Presently, three models are available in this series: ‘Darrell’, ‘Muska’ and ‘Tave’. The premium decks cost $79. Their mission is to be the best they could be in the most honest and ethical way possible and it reflects in their great range of products.
