Concept headphones for the auditory impaired
Jaiyant Cavale | Aug 11 2008

Designer Brian has developed specialized headphones concept that double up as hearing aids for deaf people. The concept is related to the relationship between the visual and auditory sensors in our body. What we cannot see and lies in our blind spot are, can be replicated with the help of the concept headphones. These headphones feature 5 infrared sensors, which work with sound microphones, which actually replicate the perception felt in the blind spot. The intuitive sensors then help the wearer to feel the vibrations to ascertain what the sound might have been like. Though not a substitute to the hearing sensation, it might help the wearer to get an idea what it would be like to hear sound.
