One in five 11 to 15-year-olds in England - 640,000 school pupils - had drunk alcohol in the past week, figures published by the NHS Information Centre show.
Boozing amongst young kids is a rising trend all over the world. There was a survey recently in India where the lowest drinking age among young people was found to be as low as 14 in the cities. This is a cultural change that we are witnessing these days.
