If you had always wanted to build a hovercraft, you must ask Alan Parekh how. All he did was to take a high-power motor with an airplane propeller that pushes the craft above the ground. The body of his hovercraft was made of Styrofoam and cut with a saw and sand paper was used to smooth out the roughness. He procured a lift motor and a drive motor and got them fixed. A plastic bag served as the skirt and one could use glue and scotch tape to do so. Alan used a 300-mAh-6V NiMH battery and you could do the same too. He also used a servomotor from an old RC car.
